Sydney based Dexterous Group is in the running to win one of Australia’s most coveted SMSF awards.
Dexterous Group has been shortlisted as a finalist in the New South Wales New Firm category in the state-based 2017 SMSF and Accounting Awards hosted by SMSF Adviser, Australia’s top publication for industry professionals.
The inaugural SMSF and Accounting Awards will recognise individuals and businesses that are making their mark in SMSF and accounting advice by championing professionalism, quality advice and innovation.
Founded in 2015, Dexterous offers bookkeeping, accounting and taxation services to the Sydney community. It has particularly strong relationships with small and medium-size businesses and specialises in financial services to allow businesses to concentrate on growth.
Managing editor of SMSF and Accounting, Katarina Taurian, said that the winners “represent a cross-section of this state’s outstanding professional talent, pointing to an absolute dedication to delivering specialist, unique advice to a burgeoning client base”.
“Some top-performing firms and professionals are focused on doing business in their home states and locales, and we are excited to acknowledge the unique excellence and expertise they are bringing to their client base,” she said.
Co-founders and directors Nick Urry and James Iliffe at Dexterous Group said they are both humbled and honoured by the nomination.
“That Dexterous Group has been recognised for its excellent contribution to the accounting industry reinforces the strength of our brand in connecting with our target market and customers,” they said. Both added: “None of this would be possible without our dedicated and highly capable onshore and offshore team.” Both said that the firm was based on progressive methods of accounting that keep things simple, without compromising thoroughness and attention to detail.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth on Thursday 2 November. You can find more information about the awards here.
